This site was created to provide coin collectors with an introduction to the Standing Liberty Quarter series. While the series was very short lived and only minted from 1916 to 1930, it is a favorite of many collectors as an example of the Renaissance era of United States coinage. The series was followed by the Washington Quarter, which was issued to mark the 200th anniversary of Washington’s birth.
